Christian Service Committee Member

Duties and Responsibilities

·

Promote and coordinate actions concerned with social justice and charity.

·

Assist pastor in distribution of tithing funds to worthy causes.

·

Carry out the following special projects:

A

Pregnancy Help: Set up area in the church for receipt of baby shower gifts. Pick up gifts and deliver to Pregnancy Help. Clean up church area used.

B

A Place to Turn: Set up Christmas tree in church for receipt of socks and underwear. Collect gifts and deliver to a Place to Turn. Dismantle Christmas tree.

C

Catholic Relief Services: Distribute Rice Bowls the first Sunday in Lent. Receive Rice Bowls on Holy Thursday for Catholic Relief Services.

D

Birthright: Sell carnations twice a year to benefit pro-life activities of Birthright.
