Christian Service, Nursing Home Visitation

Duties and Responsibilities

·

Visit residents at one of three nursing home / assisted living facilities within parish boundaries.

·

Establish guidelines in creating a sense of presence through listening.

·

Develop awareness by observing the spiritual needs of the person.

·

Follow safe environment procedures for reporting concerns.

Time Commitment

1-2 hours biweekly

Length of Commitment

2 years

Training

·

Complete initial training program and take part in ongoing formation.

·

Become familiar with safe environment procedures.
