Family Religious Education, Catechist

Duties and Responsibilities

·

Proclaim Christ’s message and give witness to the faith to children in K-5.

·

Help the children develop a sense of community (church).

·

Lead the children to worship and prayer.

·

Motivate the children to serve others.

·

Perform this ministry on Sunday mornings for 1.25 hours once a month from September to March in the parish center for approximately 8-12 children grouped according to grade level.

Training

·

Attend orientation and mid-year meetings for religious education staff.
