The Berube Family Scholarship is awarded “to that occasional high school senior who, in action, has demonstrated both insight and understanding of Catholic values, and has at times, had the courage to stand alone.”

Please make a choice of Questions A to E or submit an essay (250 words or more) on why you think you should receive the scholarship, revealing your insights into Catholic values and how, at times, you have had the courage to stand alone.

If you have been involved in Parish Youth Ministry, explain why and if you have benefited.  If you have not, please tell us why not. 

 

B.

What do you appreciate and/or admire most about being Catholic?

 

C.

Do you sometimes find it difficult to be a Catholic?  Why?

 

D.

Do you think we need to update, that is to make the message of Jesus and the Life of the Church more in tune with our culture, our world today?  If so, give specifics.  If not, why not?

 

E.

If there is an adult lay Catholic that you admire, please write a paragraph about that person.
